Hey. I’m Cody.

I’m an eighth generation native Vermonter, husband, dad, and huge nerd. In all areas of my life, I’m passionate about solving the puzzles found within them. At home, those puzzles can range anywhere between a jigsaw on the coffee table and the fire pit I built myself out back. From staircase renovation to electrical engineering, there’s no house project I’m afraid to take on. This is a helpful outlook, seeing as my house was built back in 1860.

When my wife and I put our son’s nursery together a few years ago, we went with a space theme. The inspiration behind my portfolio design probably stemmed from there. I found myself sticking with it once I found how the unique gradients and shapes involved made for such a fun and compelling design experience.

If I’m not chasing after my curly-haired toddler or labradoodle, I use my free time to do other things I love: some of the best days of summer are spent on the golf course with my brother. In the winter, catch me snowboarding the slopes of a nearby ski mountain. I am also a gamer at heart. For over a decade now, I’ve been in a (somewhat) weekly DND group. I love getting the chance to connect with friends for the next leg of our campaign or to try out a new board game.

I think the ultimate reason I gravitate toward my interests, including my career, comes down to one thing:

I am my best self when I am creating, collaborating, and critically thinking.
